بالله يا زوار قبر محمد – من كان منكم رائحاً أو غادي
بلغ إلى المختار ألف تحية – من عاشقة متفتتة القلب
قولوا له منى تتحضر – تفارق الأحـبـاب والأولاد
صلى عليك الله يا علم الهـدى – ما سار ركب أو ترنـم حـادي
By God, O visitors of the grave of Muhammad
whoever of you is going or returning
inform the chosen one of a thousand greetings
from a lover whose heart is in pieces
Say to him, Mona is preparing
to separate from friends and family.
Prayers be upon you, O Banner of Guidance,
as the caravans go forth and the chanters sing.
